Why:
Phew. I think you’ll be spotting a big trend on What I Wore this summer - it is REALLY hot in New York.  We live in an old building and don’t have central AC and I feel like I’m walking into a hot oven whenever I walk out my front door. It’s kind of a bummer.  But I’ve gotta make the most of it, so for this outfit, instead of wearing my dress as a skirt (As I did here and here), I wore it as it was intended… nice and breezy and cool and a great tube dress that doesn’t shimmy down every few minutes. Instead of one of my bold, big leather bags, I thought a touch of color would be fun. My aunt got this for me one a medical mission trip years ago and I love pulling it out to spice up an outfit.

In other news… I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS WEEKEND!! Adam and I will be in Indiana for a family packed weekend and I’m already starting to pack.  I’ve got some excellent outfit ideas up my sleeve, so stayed tuned this week for more details!!

Why:
I’m sweating just thinking about how hot it was yesterday. I wanted to look fun and hip but the first 15 outfits I tried on didn’t work and it just drove me about crazy.  Then I decided - why not throw on my favorite of everything and just be on with it? Well, it worked - worked for my anyway!

On a side note - I’m so happy it’s Friday!! I’ll be biking all day everyday and eating ice cream! What are you planning on this weekend?
